Abstract
Objective To analyze the incidence and prevalent features of tuberculosis in Beihai during 2005-2010 and discuss the strategy for controlling tuberculosis. Methods Reported cases of PTB from disease reporting system during 2005-2010 were analyzed by descriptive epidemiological method. Results During 2005-2010,reported tuberculosis cases were 12 630 and the average reporting incidence was 134.20 /100 000.The yearly reported incidences were 164.50 /100 000,154.42 /100 000,154.92 /100 000,146.27 /100 000,100.38 /100 000 and 90.45 /100 000,respectively.The incidence decreased year by year. The distribution of tuberculosis in different seasons and periods varied little according to reported cases of each month every year. The incidence of mature group(15~54 year old) was the highest while that of child age group(0~14 year old) was the lowest. The incidence of male was higher than that of female. Most patients were farmers and the reported cases were 7137,accounted for 56.51% in reported cases. The incidence of tuberculosis varied much in different areas. The incidence in Haicheng district was the highest(175.49 /100 000) while that in Tie Shanggang district was the lowest(79.96 /100 000).Conclusion Modern tuberculosis controlling stratagies are being promoted and DOTS management measures are being strenghthed,so that tuberculosis is controlled effectively. The control of tuberculosis should focus on the Haicheng district and mature group, especially for more attention should be given to mature male farmers.
