Blankness Art of Chinese Painting

In the late Tang Dynasty,Zhang yan-yuan put forward the name of white paint in Chronological Famous Paintings.It is actually a recognition of the unique role and value of the blank space from a theoretical point of view.Besides brush,ink and color on the screen,the traditional Chinese painting,more or less,has left some gaps in the screen,and in the Chinese paintings these gaps are called blank. We can see that a blank painting has long been skillfully applied to the organizational structure of the screen.It is carefully arranged by artist,and it is not only an important factor in the formal beauty of Chinese painting,but also the outcome of aesthetic concept on the foundation of Chinese aesthetics.
