Review on the Degradation of Polyacrylamide Used for Flooding

Polyacrylamide is widely used as the polymer for polymer flooding.Great economic benefit is achieved by its industrial application in many oil fields.However,some problems of the well production and the wastewater treatment come forth with the present of polyacrylamide in the production fluid.It is of effectness to solve those problems with the degradation of polyacrylamide.This paper reviewed the late achievement on the reserch of the degradation of polyacrylamide,including mechanical degradation,thermal degradation,biodegradation and chemical degradation.
