Abstract

The article deals with the experiment of appending various contents of plumbaginous carbon in blast furnace slag of Xingtai Iron and Steel Inc.The result indicated that the carbon mostly suspended in the slag, the viscidity and melting temperature of slag increase with the content of carbon increasing. In order to make the blast furnace slag with favourable fluidity, the carbon content of blast furnace slag should be kept under 5%.
