Abstract
Objective To evaluate the safety, technical success rate, and effectiveness of transcatheter ultraselective arterial chemoembolization(TACE) for unresectable lung cancer. Methods Using Japan Shimadzu 1250Ma CCD DSA X machine,4F YASHIRO catheter and 2.7F microcatheter were employed in ultraselective chemoembolization for feeding artery of lung cancer with lipiodol and 2-3 species chemodrug. After treatment, the change of the symptoms, images of neoplasm and the survival rates were observed. Results There were 43 cases successfully complete ultraselective chemoembolization in feeding artery of lung neoplasm.Technical success rate was 95.6%(43/45) without spinal damage occuring. After 1-3 time treatment, the symptoms of the patients obviously improved in 44 cases(97.8%);neoplasm notable shrank in 41 cases(91.1%),partly shrank in 3 cases(6.7%),not shrinking in 1cases(2.2%).The survival rate at 6 months,12 months,24 months,36 months were 100%(45/45),91.1%(41/45),84.4%(38/45) and 62.2%(28/45) respectively. Conclusion The technical success rate at Ultraselective transcatheter arterial chemoembolization for feeding artery of lung neoplasm is high.the safety is high. It′s effectiveness is better.
