The function of strengthening the knowledge popularization and prediction of geological hazard--As an example of Guangxi Prorince

According to the development and distribution characteristics of geological hazard in Guangxi Province,the paper introduces the great economic losses and casualties caused by geological hazard in recent years.In order to reduce these losses and avoid casualties,two approaches that play an effective role in preventing geological hazard in the daily management of geological hazard have been discussed.And then,the basic working processes and requirements of the approaches have been introduced in detail.One is to strengthen the knowledge popularization of geological hazard,enhance the ABC of geological hazard to everyone,and keep geological hazard in their mind so they can choose an appropriate way to decrease the losses before the hazard happen.The other is to strengthen the work of monitoring and prediction,detect the hazard deformation features,analyze its trend,and make it possible to take countermeasures to decrease the losses before geological hazard happens.
