Abstract

As an active page technique, ASP (Active Server Pages) can be used to develop efficient application program of Web database. Compared with traditional information system based on C/S (Client/Server) model, Web database application system based on B/S (Browser/Server) structure is more open, efficient and is easier to be maintained. Using the development of the Web Database in Hunan Shuikoushan Materials Management System as an example, the author presents the charac teristic, principle, built-in objects and ADO (Active Data Object) of ASP, and clarifies the construction of Web Database based on ASP.
