Abstract
The method for determination of cadmium in Chinese traditional medicine by cloud point extraction-graphite furnace atomic absorption spectrometry was developed. After samples were pre-digested,trace cadmium was concentrated by non-ionic surfactant cloud point extraction and determined by the graphite furnace atomic absorption spectrometry. It was found absorbance was linear to the concentration of cadmium in the range of 0—10ng/mL(r=0.9995).The detection limit is 0.008ng/mL with the recovery of 94.0%—108.5%.The proposed method is sensitive, accurate and has been successfully applied to the determination of Chinese traditional medicine with satisfactory results.
