Abstract

Objective To study the pathogenic factors of incisional hernia of abdominal wall. Methods The data including incision, suture, intraabdominal pressure, intraoperative musular relaxation, age, nutrition, generative time and so on of fifty-two patients with incisional hernia of abdominal wall were analysed retrospectively. Results Abdominal vertical incision was performed in 43 cases(82.69%) of 52 incisional hernia of abdominal wall. There were 33 cases(63.40%)with infection and disruption of incisional wound.Intraabdominal pressure increases in 15 cases(28.85%).The incidence of incisional hernia in the aged was 82.70%.Conclusion The major causes of incisional hernia were infection of incisional wound, increase of intraabdominal pressure, abdominal vertical incision, nutrition and so on.The incidance of incisional hernia may significantly decrease by preventing and curing the complications in the perioperational period and by avoiding the induction factors of incisional hernia of abdominal wall.
