Lots of the literatures about Miaomantu can be applied in Yi studies.There are not too many introductions or explains about Miaomantu though,it can express a multitude of historical and cultural phenomena of the Yi ethnic group.It illustrates the ancient history and society,human culture and customs of Yi people by some excellent pictures and accompanying essays.So we can say that they are the indispensable and precious documents when we study the history and culture of the Yi and other southern ethnic minority groups.
