Abstract
Objective To compare the separate use of subgingival scaling androot planing(SRP) and photodynamic therapy(PDT) clinical effects of SRP in the treatment of severe chronic periodontitis. Methods 30 cases ofpatients with severe chronic periodontitis as control, were randomly dividedinto experimental group(SRP+PDT) and control group(SRP).The comparison of preoperative, postoperative1 month, 3 months of experimental results, check the probing two groups of hemorrhage(BOP),periodontal probing depth(PD) and bleeding index(BI). Results All of the two groups of related data were not statistically significant( p0.05),but after the experimental group and the control group of 1months and 3 months in the PD,BOP,BI, have greatly improved than before, and the experimental group PD, BOP and BI effects were obviously compared to the control group, the difference has statistical significance( p0.05). Conclusion The application of PDT aided SRP on periodontitis were treated better.
