Abstract
The main bridge of Fumin Bridge in Shenyang is a prestressed concrete cable-stayed bridge with span arrangement (89 +242 +89) m, and with double kinked pylons and single cable plane. On the main span and two side spans of the main bridge, there is each one closure segment, 2 m in length, and along with the closing of the spans, the Bridge has completed two time of structural system transformation. In this paper, the analytic calculations, structural design and sequences for the closure construction are described in details.
