Abstract

Aiming at the progressive share and reuse requirements of product design information generated dynamically in product development process,the methods to describe product design information and to construct corresponding design information resource database are studied so that the product design information can be acquired dynamically,recorded accurately and managed consistently in the product development process in a manufacturing enterprise.Firstly, from the point of view of information integration,the logical relationships among the design information are analyzed based on the general thinking process of designers.Then,the consistency description model of product design information and corresponding construction method of product design information resource database are discussed from the point of view of knowledge management.Consequently,product design knowledge and experience can be recorded,accumulated,and managed effectively in the enterprise and product design automation is advanced.
