Abstract
The spatial distribution characteristics of soil organic matter and nitrogen in 3 types wetlands of South Dongting Lake Floodplain were studied in this paper. The results showed that there were both significant differences of soil organic matter and nitrogen in 3 type wetlands.the horizontal distribution of soil organic matter and nitrogen was Carexspp-dominated floodplain Phragmites-dominated floodplain mud and sand-dominated floodplain. There were significant positive relationship(P 0.01)between soil organic matter and nitrogen, the regression equation was:y =0.093 1x-0.080 2(R2=0.943 5).The ratios of carbon and nitrogen were relatively low.All the factors such as cycling of dry and wet, vegetation growth and pH values influenced the distribution of soil organic matter and nitrogen in wetland.
