Abstract

E. E. Cummings is one of the representatives of American modern experimental poets whose poems eschew the conventional rhymes and syntactic structures of poetry and even reject to convey information and emotion in the way of conventional printing. This paper, based on the theory of stylistics, reconstructs the pattern of the realization of foregrounding, then analyzes and appreciates Cummings' lyric poem “in Just-” from foregrounding perspective.
