Abstract

Homeobox genes are a family of transcriptional regulato rs which contain a common 183-nucleotide sequence.Known as master control genes, they possess high conservation through evolution and play a crucial role in the development and differetiation of organisms.This article is about to discuss the expression of homeobox genes in glioma and the possible role of homebox genes i n oncogenesis,suggesting that homeobox genes may be useful in clinical diagnosis.
