Abstract

Ascorbic acid can reduce Fe(Ⅲ) to Fe(Ⅱ),and Fe(Ⅱ) can react with potassium ferricyanide to form a soluble Prussian blue(KFeⅢ[FeⅡ(CN)6]) complex. The method for determination of ascorbic acid was established by spectrophotometry, that can be applied for the determination of content of ascorbic acid in the pharmaceuticals and the fruits.
