Application of liquid based cytology test and TBS cytology subdivision in the dete ction of cervical cancer

Abstract

Objective:To study the value of liquid based cytology test(LCT)and Bethesda(TBS)cytology subdivision in the detection of cervical cancer.Methods:1 800 cases were detected using LCT and TBS.The samples of atyical squamous cell and more abnormal cell were positive,then compared the positive results with colposcopical biospy examination.Results:The satisfactory rate of LCT smears was 95%,76 samples were positive, the positive rate was 4.33%(76/1 800).Of these 76 cases,62 cases were agreement with the pathological examination,the rate of agreement was 81.5%(62/76).Conclusion:If combined with colposcopical and pathological examination,LCT could find out the early cervical lesions as soon as possible.The TBS cytology subdivision is more detailed,simple and direct.It is the key to prophylaxis and treatment of cervical cancer.
