Analysis of Medicinal Values and Medicinal Parts of Medicinal Seed Plants in Yunnan

Objective: Deep realization to resources of medicinal seed plants in Yunnan would give basic information for protection and utilization.Methods: Database of resources of medicinal seed plants in Yunnan was built based on relative literature study and field investigation.Results: There were 4203 species,1416 genus,and 219 families.Among them,there were 2209 herbs,801 shrubs,716 trees,and 379 climbing plants.Conclusion:Resources of medicinal seed plants in Yunnan were plentiful,and family distribution of medicinal plants similar with character of China was not asymmetry,and some aspects were different in character in China;as for medicinal values,the type was various,which was affected by traditional usage of minor groups;as for medicinal parts,the way of usage of Chinese traditional medicine was dominant,which destroyed diversity of resources of medicinal seed plants.
