Abstract

Objective:To study the expressions of CD4+CD28-and CD8+CD28-T cells in peripheral blood of patients with Hashimoto′s Thyroiditis(HT).Methods: CD28 on CD4+ and CD8+ T cells were detected in 50 cases with HT and 30 cases with healthy conditions by flow cytometric analysis. Results: CD4+ T cells,CD4+/CD8+ increased,CD8+ T cells decreased in HT group when compared with healthy group. In peripheral blood, the expressions of CD4+CD28+ and CD8+CD28+ decreased,CD4+CD28-and CD8+CD28-increased.IFN-γ and hs-CRP in serum were much higher than those in healthy group. These differences which described above had statistical significances(P0.05).There were positive correlations between CD4+CD28-T cells and IFN-γ(r=0.383,P=0.006),CD8+CD28-T cells and hs-CRP(r=0.309,P=0.029).Conclusion: There are abnormal functions in immune regulation proved by the reductions of CD28 on CD4+ and CD8+ T cells. It is supposed that CD4+CD28-T cells may induce the occurence of HT,while CD8+CD28-T cells may be involved in its pathogenic process.
