Abstract
Based on the literature review on interactive economy and the gravity model,the paper analyzed the spatial interaction development of innovation capability of metropolitan areas,described the innovation capability of metropolitan areas,constructed the innovation gravity model of metropolitan area,empirically analyzed the spatial interaction of Shanghai metropolitan from 2001 to 2011,classified the innovation gravity into six degrees based on the results,such as super strong,more strong,strong,weak,weaker,super weak,and finally put forward suggestions such s promoting comprehensive development of innovation capability,offering supports for peripheral cities to integrate into existing layout of innovation gravity,promoting interaction by adopting group advantages,taking full advantage of spatial approach with core city and so on.
