Abstract

In order to define the concept and study the status quo of citizen in China, through the comparison, citizen is considered different from public journalism or civil journalism, it has its own essential definition. Citizen may be the tendency of the industry. Citizen in China has developed elementarily; however, a few problems have occurred during this process, such as mechanism problems and the tendency of excluding farmers from the attention of citizen journalism. A good environment for the growth of citizen can not be created unless the government, media and citizens would collaborate and work hard together.
