Abstract
Based on the field experimental data of winter wheat in the Farmland Irrigation Research Institute of CAAS in 2005-2006,the relationship between crop yield and evaporotranspi-ration for winter wheat in Xinxiang district was studied. The results showed that the relationship between yields and water consumption in the whole growing period of wheat was Parabola model. The optimal irrigation amount was 374.9mm,and the interval amount of suitable water consumption was 374.9-551.7mm for winter wheat. In addition, the Jensen model was used to establish the relationship between the stage water consumption and the yield of winter wheat. The water stress sensitivity index in Jensen model reached to the highest value from heading stage to filling stage, and the second highest during booting period and the third during seedling phase. Irrigation in other growth stages was not very important. At last, the characteristics and problems existed in application of the model were discussed.
