Abstract
The stability of uranium(Ⅳ)in nitric acid and tributyl Phospate(TBP)-kerosene media is investigated. The effects of concentrations of uranium(Ⅳ),nitric acid,TBP in the aqueous or or-ganic solution and the oxygen in gas phase on the oxidation rate of uranium(Ⅳ)are examined. The oxidation rates of uranium(Ⅳ)in both media increase obvisoly with increasing temperatureand the apparent activation eneries are 91kJ/mol for nitric acid medium and 42kJ/mol for TBP-kerosene medium. The regularities of oxidation rate of uranium(Ⅳ)in nitric acid and TBP.kerosene media are compared.
