From "Man Being An Integral Part of Nature" to "Benefit of Balancing"——Questing for the Meaning of "Harmony" and the History of Its Evolvement

From the perspective of etymology,harmony originally referred to a status that our ancestors lived in peace and contentment within their fences.With the development of the society,the meaning of harmony also undergoes some changes,starting to derive from the spiritually and esthetically music harmony to the philosophical argument of the sameness.At the end of the Spring and Autumn Period,Confucius triggered the shift of argument of the sameness to argument of balancing through his mission awareness and rational spirit, thus rendering harmony the ethical value orientation of benefit.
