The Outstanding Art of Drama Explorer

Abstract
Hong Shen is one of the modern drama explorers of our country. He made significant contributions to the modern art of drama. During the 1920s,as one of the founders and explorers of modern drama in China,he played a key role in the transition and rapid growth of the art of drama. From the aspects of opening the new format of mixed playing by both male and female,creating the formal drama play system,analyzing social problems,bringing up the name of “Drama”,and the contributions to drama theories,this article concludes that Hong Shen is not only an outstanding drama writer,but also a famous drama theorist,a stage art explorer and a drama educator. Hong Shen's art reform and creative spirit had deep impacts on the history of modern drama development in China.
