Abstract

Aim:To rationalize the attempt of raising shrimp and crab in the same pond. Methods: Infected Penaeus monodon and Cylla serrata were examined by light and electron microscopies. Results: The baculovirus without occlusion body was found in the cell of mid-gut gland of both Penaeus monodon and Cylla serrata. Penaeus monodon baculovirus (MBV) was found in infected shrimp. Conclusion: The model of raising shrimp and crab in the same pond demands further investigations. [
