An Overview of the Database Replication Technology and Research

This paper firstly introduces the objectives of database replication in brief,mainly focuses on discussing the key problems,solutions,and the present situation of research on database replication.Based on classifying the existing replication protocols from different angles,we analyze their respective performance and availability features;based on analyzing the replication protocols under lazy and eager modes,we discover their lineage and current evolution;based on summing up the burgeoning application requirements,we conclude the possible future research issues of database replication.
