Abstract
Based on the field investigation and specimens identification,154 species in 71 genera and 33 families of bryophytes in urban area of Suzhou are reported in the present paper.Of these,13 species, belonging to 10 genera and 8 families are liverworts.141 species, belonging to 61 genera and 25 families are mosses.Floristic analysis show that East Asian,North Temperate and Tropical elements account for 36.59%,34.15% and 12.20% respectively. It has a distinct East Asian characteristic and temperate character to some degree.Compared the genus and species composition with Shanghai and Wuxi, the percent of similarity is high.R/T value of bryofloras in the three cities reflects similar temperate characteristic.
