Abstract

In order to study the current situation of soil salinization in oasis-desert ecotone so as to provide basic information for salinization prevention, this paper took the oasis-desert ecotone of the lower reaches of Manas River as the study field. After field sampling and laboratory testing, the characteristics and types of soil salinization of 0-100cm layers were analyzed. The results showed that 1) pH values of each layer were above 9,alkaline soil;2) salt content was not high overall, the predominant anions in the soil were SO42-and Cl-,while the predominant cation were Na+ and K+,with complex interrelationship among them, and the salt contents in the upper and lower layers were higher than the middle layer;3) the degree of salinization was not severe in the study area, and the main soil types were chloride-sulfate soil and sulfate-chloride salinization soil.
