Abstract
Twelve strains of aerobic denitrifying bacteria were isolated from sludge in aquaculture water body using the spread plate method.Of them, one strain(D2) with strongest denitrification capacity was screened out.The optimal culture-medium,temperature and bacteria concentrations were then determined for the strain D2’s.The results show that nitrate is the most suitable medium, and 37 ℃ is the most suitable growth temperature for aerobic denitrifying bacteria D2.D2’s maximum concentration under optimal growth conditions is up to 4.2 × 105 /mL
