Abstract
Objective To evaluate the efficacy of splenic anto-transplantation after splenectomy in children. Methods 40 cases of splenectomy owing to spleen hurted had been done with splenic autotransplantation in children and parts of them were followed-up for 12~72 months. Results At the fifth week after splenectomy, both pletlet count and immunoglobulin AG and M in 37 patients were normal(92.5%) and plat count in 3 patients was high(75%).25 patients who had splenic auto-transplantation were positive by 99m Tc photography. Conclusion Splenic autotransplantation may be a safe and reliable method for patients with splenectomy in protecting splenic function.
