Abstract

[Objective] To determine the value of serum TNF-α、IL-6 Levels of acute pancreatitis(AP) patients in assessment of disease severity.[Methods]Twenty eight AP patients were divided into mild acute pancreatitis group(MAP,n=16) and severe acute pancreatitis group(SAP,n=12),10 healthy volunteers were employed as the control group. The serum levels of TNF-α and IL-6 in 28 AP patients and 10 healthy volunteers were tested by ELISA.[Results]Two cytokines levels were highest in SAP group, lowest in control group, the differences between control group and SAP group,MAP group and SAP group were significant(P 0.01);The difference of IL-6 level between control group and MAP group was significant(P0.05).[Conclusion]TNF-α、IL-6 have clinical values in early diagnosis and identification of MAP and SAP.
