Abstract
This paper reports the extraction-flotation spectrophotometric determination of trace amounts of Pd(Ⅱ) in the form of ion associate of Pd(Ⅱ)-Br~--safranine T(ST). The maximum absorbance of the ion associate is at 520 nm. Its molar absorptivity e_(620nm) is 2.2×10~5l·mol~(-1)·cm~(-1) and the ratio of Pd(Ⅱ) to ST is 1:3. The composition of the ion associate is(PdBr_4~(2-)·2 ST~+)· (Br~-·ST~+). Some minerals have been analysed by this method with satisfactory results.
