Analysis of Relationships between Temperament Type and Talent Identification, Tactical Position as well as Technical Specialty in Basketball Players

The growth factors of elite basketball players are various. The identification of sports talent should start first to shorten the way to become a talent. In identifying a sports talent not only the index of shape and function, physical fitness and specific skill should be considered, but also the psychological quality of an athlete. And the temperament type is one of the most important psychological qualities essential for an athlete. There is a close relation between the psychological identification of an athlete and his/her effective training to become a sports talent. In this paper the temperament types of basketball players were studied. The distribution characteristics of their temperament types, the differences of some technical indexes in basketball players of different temperament type were studied. And the relationships between technical specialty and tactical position etc. were further discussed as well. The purpose is to provide beneficial reference for the psychological identification of basketball players and effective training of the players' technical specialty and technical style.
