Abstract
Female concern of western disaster emergency management theory is not only a scientific consideration, but also current practice in disaster emergency management,which demonstrates an effort of western countries to perfect the disaster emergency management system on the basis of gender mainstreaming.In review of female concern evolution and research of western disaster emergency management theory,the paper sets forth major research issues such as female emergency and disaster relief skill learning,female vulnerability,disaster preparedness,female-oriented disaster management policies,community disaster relief,climate change impact on female disaster relief and gender analysis,and then draws some inspiration for disaster emergency management in China.
