Abstract
With rice variety Xiangwanxian13 as test material, this paper investigated the effect of seeding amount and seedling age on seedling quality and grain yield under ridge terraced cultivation in the natural fertility of paddy uniform mound on the block in the town of Liuyang Beisheng Own Community in 2013. The results showed that, during the seedling age from20 days to 40 days, the seedling quality of those with 30 days seedling age was the best, the plant height and leaf area per plant decreased with the increasing of seedling amount, root activity and rooting ability in low seeding was the strongest and plant height was not significantly affected by seeding rate. The yield showed increase trends with the shortening of seedling age. Seedling age of 40 days was unfavorable to the total grain number per panicle and seed setting rate and caused serious reduction of output. Yields under 20 days seedling age was relatively higher than that of 30 days seedling age.
