Abstract

Paper analyzed the characteristics of automatic transmission and the principle of working based on four typical structure:Automatic Transmission(AT),Automatic Mechanical Transmission(AMT),Continuously Variable Transmission(CVT),dual-clutch automatic transmission(DCT).It is pointed out in this paper that the trends of automatic transmission technologies are the automatic transmission torque converter technology,the speed change mechanism of gear,control system etc.Trends.
