Abstract
There are three different stages in Korean regional cooperation after the Cold War,and there are features as follows in the process; obvious character of middle-power diplomacy; focusing on the Northeast Asia. There are 4 factors hindering the East Asia cooperation policy of Korea:the division of Korea into South Korea and North Korea ; U. S. 's interests in East Asia, Korea in its own right ; the historical issues in East Asia region.
