Abstract
Objective: To explore the distribution law and differences of TCM syndrome and symptoms between the stage Ⅲ and stage Ⅳ of type- 2 diabetic nephropathy( DN). Methods: The TCM symptomatology materials of 215 patients with type- 2 DN in the stage Ⅲ and Ⅳ were collected. After the,the materials were statistically analyzed the distributing state of TCM syndrome and symptoms in different stages. Results:( 1) This deficiency syndrome was given priority to that with qi deficiency. Yang deficiency and Yin deficiency syndrome in the sage Ⅲ was given priority to that with qi deficiency and Yang deficiency syndrome in the sage Ⅳ of type- 2 DN. The blood stasis syndrome was most widely distributed in the empirical syndrome.( 2) The study of syndrome showed Yang deficiency, blood stasis and blood deficiency syndrome had a tendency to increase while Yin deficiency,phlegm- damp syndrome had a downward trend during stageⅢ to Ⅳ. But only the Yang deficiency showed significant difference statistically( χ2= 6. 54,P = 0. 01).( 3) In the study of symptoms, there were significant differences in symptoms of Yang deficiency, blood stasis and phlegm- damp syndrome( P 0. 05). Conclusions: The most common syndrome is Qi deficiency syndrome and blood stasis syndrome in the patients with type- 2 DN in stage Ⅲ and Ⅳ. Syndrome evolution is broadly consistent with the trend of Yin deficiency Qi deficiency- Yang deficiency. This study was to explore the characteristic of the syndrome and symptoms in stage III and IV of type- 2 DN,offering theoretic basis for its clinical treatment based on.
