Comparative Analysis on Service Sector Contribution to Economic Development in Yangtze River Delta

Abstract

Through analysis of service industry development characteristics,this paper concludes the obvious differences in the Yangtze River Delta region.Using the contribution rate of the tertiary industry and the industrial structure model,the paper draws some useful conclusions about service economy in the region.First,the service economy of Shanghai is best in the Yangtze River Delta;Second,in labor efficiency,growth rate and contribution rate,the service industry in Zhejiang Province is significantly better than Jiangsu and the nation in average;At last,although the scale of Jiangsu service industry is the largest in the region,but it is still insufficient in the sector proportion and labor efficiency.
