Abstract

Rhododendron is the biggest genus of Ericaceae.The early and modern taxonomic researches of Rhododendron genus and its cultivation adaptability in Hunan were summarized.Two new recorded species of the genus Rhododendron are reported for the first time from Hunan Province.They are Rhodedendron orbiculare and Rhododendron rupivalleculatum.
