On the Style of "Qing" in LI Bai's Poems

Abstract

Based on the plural and ambiguous meanings of the word Qing, Li Bai's poems can be said to have a style of Qing. The first manifestation of his Qing style is the freshness and bright colour in the scenery he described. The second manifestation is that Li Bai's poetry was unaffected and free from vulgarity in expressing his feelings. His Qing style is also displayed in his artistic conception of a magnificent or etherealized or serene world. Li Bai is good at creating fresh, open, or peaceful atmosphere.
