Abstract

In this paper, the environment required by archival repository was firstly analyzed. It was pointed out that other than the basic requirements on temperature and humidity, the archival repository should meet the requirements of certain cleanliness, air acidity and mould quantity.Secondly, the drawbacks of applying conventional condensation desiccant air-conditioning system were presented, and the liquid desiccant air-conditioning system based on independent temperature and humidity control was put forward, which was suitable for archival repository. Finally, through energy consumption analysis of these two air-conditioning systems,it was concluded that the liquid desiccant air-conditioning system was more energy-efficient than the conventional air-conditioning system.
