The clinical study of xiaoyudingtongsan in treatment of moderate to severe knee osteoarthritis

Abstract

Objective To evaluate the clinical effect of Xiaoyudingtongsan for patients with moderate to severe knee osteoarthritis. Methods Seventy-two cases of moderate to severe knee osteoarthritis were randomly divided into the treatment group(xiaoyudingtongsan) and the control groups(double chlorine acid gel).The two groups were recorded in pre-treatment and post-treatment pain VAS score, WOMAC scoring standards. Results After treatment, pain VAS score: the treatment group was(2.1±1.2) points, and the control group was(4.8±1.5) points.;WOMAC score : the treatment group was(22.3±11.6) points,and the control group was(40.8±12.1) points. The treatment group and control group between groups in comparison VAS score,WOMAC score were significantly different. Conclusion Xiaoyudingtongsan is effective for treating patients with moderate to severe knee osteoarthritis.
