Abstract
The experiment and demonstration of artificially releasing Trichogramma japonicum were conducted in rice field to control Chilo suppressalis in 2012. Three treatments of parasitoids-releasing field, farmers' self-controlling field and contrast were set up in this experiment. The date of realising Trichogramma japonicum is during the beginning peak hatching period of Chilo suppressalis. The rice area is 6 670 m2 and 3 times releasing, the total amount of Trichogramma japonicum are 300 000. The results indicated that the average insect damaged plant rate was 3.28%, the average control effect was 79.62%. It is important to release Trichogramma japonicum to control the Chilo suppressalis, protect the ecological environment of paddy fields and improve rice quality.
