Abstract
1,4-benzoquinone derivatives with a decyl substituent at 6-position,but with different arrangement of substituents(methyl,methoxy,hydrogen,chloro and bromo)on the quinone ring have been synthesized.The structural specificity and oxidation-reduction po-tential of 1,4-'benzoquinones related to the biological functions in mitochondrial succinate-cytochrome C reductase are studied systematically.
