Abstract

Cognitive psychologists have done a lot of research on metaphor since it was introduced into cognitive field in 1980s.This paper makes an analysis of the cognitive property of metaphor from three aspects:the essence of metaphor is a kind of thinking form and a research target of cognitive psychology;the three theories metaphor illustrate how it reflects objective things;metaphor affects the perception,thinking and imagination on the objective world.
