Investigation of premature ovarian failure treated by Bushen Rougan prescription

Objective To investigate the effect of premature ovarian failure treated by Bushen Rougan prescription.Methods 80 cases of premature ovarian failure patients were randomly divided into two groups.The treatment group of 50 cases was treated by Bushen Rougan prescription,control group of 30 patients was treated with conventional western medicine,and a course is 6 months.The levels of serum follicle stimulating hormone(FSH) and estradiol(E2) before and after treatment and changes of T lymphocyte subsets CD4 and CD8,while the improvement of the main symptoms was observed.Results The level of FSH after treatment was decreased as compared with that before treatment in two groups(P0.05).The level of E2 was increased(P0.05).There was no difference between two groups on the level of FSH and E2 after treatment(P0.05).CD4 after treatment in treatment group was increased as compared with that before treatment in treatment group and after treatment in control group(P0.05).CD8 was decreased(P0.05),CD4/CD8 was increased(P0.05).There was no difference between two groups on the improvement of the main symptoms after treatment(P0.05).Conclusion Bushen Rougan prescription can significantly improve the quality of life of patients with premature ovarian failure,restore and improve ovarian function,at the same time improve the immune capacity,it is safe and effective.
