The application and research of NC inserting PC open CNC system

Abstract

The most conventional computer numerical control(CNC) systems are interface-closed.It is hard to change the configuration and extend the function.But open CNC system can solve this problem.The paper discusses the design and research on NC inserting PC opening CNC system in detail from two aspects of hardware and software.Combining with XK5030 machine tool,a set of open CNC milling machine based on PC+ADT850 motion controller has been developed.The experiment shows that this open CNC system could implement motion control and display machine state in real time.It achieves prospective precision and has the open characteristic of open CNC system.
